Address book version 102
Just intalled 102 on Win 10 (latest update). I am getting two problems in the address book. 1. When I open my imported Outlook addresss (now my main address boo) the contacts are listed but if I click on any of them no details are shown. However, if I use the rightclick menu to select "edit" the details do appear, but with a dark overlay (as it would be for editing. Pressing "save" leaves the entry details displayed properly - and then all the other entries will also bring up their detals too ie it now apears to work normally 2 If I enter a term in the search box absolutely nothing happens. (in version 98 it would show requisite contacts). Oddly if I look in "collected addresses" I find the search result is displayed THERE. (But only if the necessary result entries were already in that address book too - otherwise it says "no result"). It there is a result and I switch back to the main address book it now shows just the search result entries too. But it still does not work for a new entry term. And the list of contacts below is severely truncated [I thought for a moment it had deleted the contacts but closing and reopening address tab shows they are there]. Have I done something wrong or is there a bug here?

There have been problems reported with 102. If you start thunderbird.exe with --allow-downgrade you can bring up version 91. But backup your profile before attempting it. That's my recommendation. I believe a fix may be coming soon.
Thank you - that was prompt. Not quite sure how to do the allow downgrade bit - do I need to start it in DOS?
click windows key and 'r' key and a window opens. enter thunderbird.exe --allow-downgrade and press enter.
