How can I get Thunderbird for Mac to access and use my native Apple contacts? When I go to Address Book, I see that one potential source is 'Mac OS X Address Book' but there's a message saying 'No contacts available'. I went into Apple System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy and clicked on Contacs on the left, but apparently Thunderbird has not requested access to my contacts. Thanks for any help.

I have this problem too since upgrading (via Migration Assistant) from an Intel MacBook Pro to an M2 MacBook Air running macOS 13.0.1 (Ventura) and TB 102.5.1. You can't grant TB access to Contacts in System Settings>Privacy & Security>Contacts (it doesn't appear there and can't be added manually) and as TB is already installed it doesn't request the permission despite "Mac OS X Address Book" being set as the default startup directory in TB's Settings.
