Running 64 bit 102.50 in WIN 7 PRO I have two accounts. Thunderbird confuses the user id's of the two accounts such that when sending from account 2 it uses the user id of account 1 and thus fails. I cannot configure the SMTP servers to prevent this, cannot clearly differentiate credential configuration for the default vs non-default SMTP servers

Give each smtp server different names. Then carefully review server settings to ensure they are properly assigned. If you could post screenshots of both incoming server settings and both smtp server settings, we may be able to assist. This is a common problem.

In Account Settings, select an account in the left pane, then select the correct smtp in the right Pane under Outgoing Server (SMTP).
