help with Adsense advertisements : Ads are showing only on mobile, but not on my laptop browser

I have a wordpress blog website. I'm trying to setup google Adsense advertisements on that blog. I seem to have been partly successful because ads are showing in that website when I browse it with the mobile smartphone (also using firefox browser).

But when I try to look for the same advertisements on Firefox, on my laptop computer, the ads are not showing. Instead where the Ad should show, there is a light yellow cream coloured box / space.

I wondered if this is because there might be some kind of automatic ad-blocking on Firefox. But ads of other websites show up fine. Do you have any idea about what to do about this?

I tried whitelisting the site, but then, I'm not sure which site to put it on, and where. What I tried did not work.

I'm using firefox from Debian linux computer. Thanks.K.R

That sounds like content blocking but it could be something else. If you click on the shield when on the site, you can turn off Enhanced Tracking Protection but I doubt that's the issue. Try troubleshoot mode (second link below).
