Thunderbird Spam Filters Question
I have Thunderbird 115.8.0 installed on my MacBook Pro with two email accounts, Yahoo and Gmail. I have set up the Tools/Message Filters/Block Filters as well. When I first launch Thunderbird all the spam shows up in my inbox, and just sits there. What I have to do is go to Tools/Message Filters at which point I'm asked to select an account. I select Yahoo (my primary account) and then "Run Filters" before anything actually happens. Then if I go back to my inbox, the spam emails start disappearing. It seems that Thunderbird does not remember the "Yahoo" selection in filters in between launches. Is there a setting I am missing, or is this just the product of having two different email accounts? Thank you.

Hello there
Your actions with these filters were correct. It would appear from the text and mention that the way you describe how you do this appears to be correct and the problems for this use on Thunderbird's side lie in the written topic for these filters.
I can prepare a bug report for you and send it to the relevant person.
Or you would like to submit this yourself if you like.
You can erase the software completely and access a new version.
you can perform a backup for your files so that they are safe.
You can reinstall the selected filters.
options such as trouble shoot mode are an option if these or newer disagreements continue.

Hello there We have read the message We try to help
Your settings do not seem to be set to automatic redirection. If your filters do not contain this, you can also contact our add-ons.
Filters can be useful. With the right settings, filters can sometimes also cause incorrect responses to your commands from your self-created configuration.
Filters can be created and entered yourself.
It's how your Thunderbird filter set responds to your environment on that PC.
In fact, they do not take or retain any consideration for these topics at all.

Thank you for the response, but I could not find any setting and/or reference to a "automatic redirection." I've included a screenshot of my filter settings.
Hello there
There are many add ons and filters that can direct inbox messages to folders / maps and subfolders

We don't seem to be on the same page here, sorry. My issue is with SPAM filters and having to run them manually rather than having them run automatically. This has nothing to do with folders, tabbed folders or any folder other than the SPAM/JUNK folders and the fact that spam is not being automatically sent to the SPAM?JUNK folders.
If you click 'get messages' does that trigger the filters, as I am assuming you have them set to run when getting messages?
Hello there
So clearly in your writing there is a mention of unusable filters, I explained to you that filters do not have a very good name when connecting antivirus.
I still ask you to switch to another solution, for example add-ons, of which I have already sent you a generous example.
It is clear that it is not the exact add-on, okay.
I can send you the entire archive so that you can look around for your solution.
Or you listen to third parties.

Thank you very much, and yes please, if you could prepare a bug report and forward to correct person, that would be super. Again, thanks for your assistance.
Please clarify what is wrong with the filter? As described, the situation seems vague. Does clicking 'get messages' fail?

It will help if you post a link to the bug you are filing. My concern is that no one defined what is not working. A bug report that 'filters not running' isn't helpful. Thank you.
Hello there
most likely it will be checked in its filters that the subject will have to report for automatic routine , because of this bug it will only present itself manually.
Greetings
All you know is that, when TB starts, the filters aren't running. You have not even viewed the filters to see what their settings are. Nor has the original poster participated by examining other aspects of their use. People run filters every day in similar situations, so I would be hesitant to state that there is an error without much more information.
Here is the issue as best that I can explain it. I have two email accounts in Thunderbird, a Yahoo account and a Gmail account. Every time I started Thunderbird, the spam filters did nothing automatically. I would need to go to Tools/Message Filters. I would then be presented with a window where neither account was selected and a drop down menu that states "Choose Account..." If I then chose Yahoo, and selected "Run Now", the filters would start deleting any spam that was present in the "In Box."
So, at least to me (someone who knows nothing about software code) it would seem that Thunderbird is not running spam filters automatically, and if I do not run the filters manually, the spam will just sit there in the "In Box" forever.
Hello there
as I already wrote, the combination package is not very cooperative with the explanation I give here on a subject such as the guest about, let's say, antivirus software and the filters that people use worldwide, these are not compatible with what I had previously described, such as You see, there are people who have no idea if you have that??
Who appreciate this explanation as it should be.

Hello there
Dear David contributer top 10.
So would you now like to leave my site with your highly valued I don't know what? And let's just end this discussion. And everyone back to their own chat box? I thank you very much.

My concern is that, if a bug is reported, they need sufficient info to investigate, and that may require more information.
