Wht does the Tbirt directory show two accounts (with differeent content) for the same email address?

Why does the Tbird directory show two accounts with different content', for the same email address? Totally confusing. See attached screen shot redacted for privacy -- the email addresses are the same. One indicates 7 and the other 25 in the inbox. WHAT is going on?

Is one account POP and the other IMAP? If so, the POP count is for messages on the PC and the IMAP count is for messages on the server.
