All foreign pages default to Spanish translation . I have to repeatedly select English from the drop down window for every new page.

Hey there!

What translator are you using?

If, for example, You use the add-on "Google Toolbar for Firefox" You may edit the add-on settings. On the Firefox menu bar go:

1.) Tools > Add-ons, and choose the Settings button on "Google Toolbar for Firefox" add-on in the list.

2.) Then from the Settings window choose the "Tools" tab and edit the translate options .

Your problem should be that "Spanish" is chosen as the translate to option instead of English!

Remark: I'm using a Swedish translation of Firefox so the names are my translations but should be similar but probably not exactly as in an English version of Firefox.
