I use google as my homepage. The calender, gmail, news listing, word of day, etc. Doesn't show up. So I have to continue to delete history, cookies, etc. In order for it to show all features. I also noticed that using facebook, I can't post anything. I also need to delete cookies etc inorder to use facebook.

  • "Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
  • "Remove the Cookies" from sites causing problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

If clearing the cookies doesn't help then it is possible that the file cookies.sqlite that stores the cookies is corrupted.
You can rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite and cookies.txt, if they exist, in the Profile Folder in case cookies.sqlite got corrupted.
