Tab / Browser Closing Options

more options

When the "Quit Firefox" pop-up appears with the question "Do you want Firefox to save your tabs for the next time it starts", it offers three options to quit. "Save and Quit", "Quit" and "Cancel".

I have made the switch from IE8 to Firefox and thus far I consider it to be superior to IE8. However IE8 did have at least one better option with respect to Browser/Tab closing. That being the option to close the existing tab only.

Is that option available through an add-on or some other option feature that can be opted for in Firefox?

You can close the current tab via "File > Close Tab" (Ctrl + W) or click the close button on that tab on with a middle click on that tab.

Thanks, but I know how to close a tab. I was looking for any possible modification that might be available for the "Quit Firefox" pop-up options. Which shows each time you inadvertently " attempt to close the tab using the Browser X in the upper right corner.
