this is stupid for two reasons one "open in a new tab" should have a t hotkey not a w

second hitting t in that case should not DELETE the bookmark!!!!!

who did this? Have them taken out back and shot

If you have accidentally removed bookmarks then use "Organize > Undo" in the bookmarks manager (Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks) to get them back.
