If I upgrade to FF 4 will I be able to keep my bookmarks and add-ons I have installed so far?
I saw that new FF 4 came out so I wanted to upgrade to it. But wanted to know if my installed add-ons on 3.6 will be usable in FF 4. Also, should I make a back-up copy of bookmarks or will they be passed on to newer version? If add-ons don't transfer what is the average time in which people usually remake their add-ons to be usable in newer versions?
Chosen solution
It will use your current bookmarks.
For the add-ons, it will check to see if they are compatible, for any that are not compatible it will offer to check for updates and disable those that are not compatible.
Three is no average time for add-ons being updated, there will be some that have been abandoned by the developer and will not be updated. If you find there are particular add-ons that no longer work ask here about them, somebody may know of an alternative.

Thank you very much! :)
According to my add-on compatibility reporter NOT A SINGLE ADD-ON from 3.6 will work with 4(I have 21 of them.) The convenience and security provided by these add-ons more than outweigh whatever gains are available with FF4. I already use Chrome to stream most video so I am in no rush.
Many of the popular add-ons have been updated for Firefox 4.0
