where is my list of screens already viewed?
my old Firefox had a BACK button, a FORWARD button, and a Down-pointing button that would list each screen previously viewed. This was possibly version 3 or 4. Now, version 5 has lost that downward button. I can click the little CLOCK button, and see general areas I have viewed, but it does not allow me to back up in precise steps anymore. To be precise - if one views the catalog on Avon.com, and clicks on a product - the site has always required me to jump to the 2nd screen back to return to the same catalog page. BACK simply leaves one (as it always did) on that product page. But the current 'History' clock button does not allow me to jump back two screens anymore; simply returns me to the 'choose a catalog' page. I want my DOWN-pointing button back!! And I can't seem to reinstate the older version of Firefox any more.....
Chosen solution
The drop-down on the Back/Forward was taken away beginning in Firefox 4. You can:
- right-click on the Back/Forward button to get the drop-down list
- click and HOLD down the left-click mouse button on the Back/Forward button until the list appears
- Install an add-on to restore the drop-down marker: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/backforward-dropmarker/
