I'd like Firefox to format HTML for reading, and nothing else.
I'd like to be able to browse a domain without sending any cookies, executing any script, or downloading any pages or resources other than the URL I specify -- just get the HTML and format the text for reading, with tables and links and whatnot, perhaps clickable image placeholders. Similar to the way the Lynx text-only browser works. Is there a way to do that in Firefox? Or maybe an add-on that does it? I already have Noscript, but that's only part of what I want. Seems like Firefox already does the basic job, I just want to make a whitelist or a mode where that's ALL it does.

Maybe this extension:
- Tab Permissions: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/tab-permissions/

Thanks cor-el, that helped. I see now (looking at the list of add-ons, which I haven't read through in a long time) there are several others that help in this area besides Tab Permissions. I'm going to investigate RequestPolicy, RedirectRemover, and BlockSite further as well.
