I want to use the speed dial extension when I start firefox. I have the option checked in speed dial settings but firefox does not open to the speed dial. How do I get this to work?

I want firefox to open up to the speed dial add-on so I can use it as my start page. In the speed dial options I have checked the option to start firefox in the speed dial but when I open firefox it doesn't open the speed dial.

Sorry, I don't use that add-on, and I don't see a SpeedDial support forum listed on the download page.
