I have an Add-on that just showed uninvited and it has no remove button. It is called FBPhotoZoom, but I am not sure if it is the actual add-on. When I searched this, there was a FB Photo Zoom, that I installed and uninstalled with no problems, but this one remained.

The Add-on says FBPhotoZoom 1.3 By Install Daddy FB Photo Zoom, Small change - BIG difference

There is only an Enable/Disable button

I fixed this issue!

Like the other posters, I had trouble with this addon because, in addition to not having a Remove button in Firefox, it also did not have an un-install option in Windows.

Instead, I closed Firefox, then went in with Windows Explorer and deleted this directory: c:\Program Files (x86)\FBPhotoZoom

When I then re-opened Firefox, this addon was gone.

Hi Psylent1,

Have you looked at the Disable or remove Add-ons Knowledge Base article? That should give you all the information you need to remove it if it is an add-on.

Hopefully this helps!

There is no Remove button, only Disable/Enable.

I tried reinstalling the add-on, but a separate add-on showed up on the list and when I removed it, this one remains.

I tried going to their home page, but their Contact us email link does not work.

Is this add-on on the Extensions list or on the Plugins list in the Add-ons Manager?

Plugins don't have a "Remove" button in Firefox and must be removed from within Windows, not Firefox (see Troubleshoot issues with plugins like Flash or Java to fix common Firefox problems for manual removal).

Add-ons- Extensions list

In that case, try the suggestions in Cannot remove an add-on (extension or theme).

It might also help if you posted the contents of the Firefox Help -> Troubleshooting Information page (click the Copy all to Clipboard button) and pasted it here, since it will include a list of your extensions.

Firefox Safe mode did not work, the add-on still only has an enable/disable button.

Uninstalling manually did not work, The String in the ID section is the home page for the company and is not listed in the Extensions section.

The Firefox Help -> Troubleshooting Information page is where the ID for the extension would be listed. That should help you find the related XPI file or folder for that extension, which normally would be inside the extensions folder of the Firefox profile folder or, if globally-installed, inside the Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\extensions folder. If it's not inside either folder, then maybe a Windows search would turn it up elsewhere on your computer, which would be the case with registry-installed extensions (see http://kb.mozillazine.org/Uninstalling_add-ons for more on those).

Extensions that only have a disable button are installed by other software on your computer.

You will have to find out which software installed the extensions that can't be uninstalled from within Firefox and disable or uninstall them from the setting of that program.
