Firefox 11 starts automatically at login - usual suspects eliminated
How do I stop Firefox 11 from starting automatically on login? It starts automatically on one of the user accounts on my less-than-week-old Mac Air (OS X 10.7.3) is started, but not the other. I have investigated the usual suspects and found none of them guilty: 1. The options associated with the icon do NOT have “Open at Login” checked; 2. The Login Items for this user does NOT include a Firefox entry; 3. Some have suggested a PopClip link, but I’ve not installed that; 4. Some have found Firefox installed in an old installation of TOR Browser/Vidalia, but I haven’t installed that either; 5. It is not an issue with the “Reopen windows when logging back in” option on the logout screen – it opens whether the box is checked or not and whether Firefox is open or not at logout; 6. System Preferences -> General -> “Restore windows when quitting and re-opening apps” is NOT checked.
Any ideas?

Problem has disappeared. Perhaps I had been logging in and out to check the results of my efforts instead of restarting the Mac Air.
Thanks to kgupta for the response. I did try changing the default browser (before the problem disappeared) and Safari did not start on login.

When Firefox starts, does it load any particular URL? I'm wondering if some other app that starts on login is trying to open some URL, which triggers Firefox to start. You could verify this by changing your default browser to Safari and seeing if Safari starts on login instead of Firefox.
