Searchbar doesnt launch a search for google
When I use the google searchbar on the top right, i only get a blank screen in return. I have tried all the other default search engines and they are working fine. If i just press enter with a blank field it goes to google.com but if i for instance type london and press enter, i get a blank field and this text in the adress field: "http://www.google.com/search?client=ubuntu&channel=fs&q=london&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8" I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 and Firefox 17.0

Managed to get it work again, seems like I had installed an addon that was messing things up.

Hi,
You can try to Manage Search Engines > Remove all instances of Google and then Restore Defaults.
Try to delete search.json file and a possible search.sqlite file in the Firefox Profile Folder.
- https://support.mozilla.org/kb/remove-toolbar-has-taken-over-your-firefox-search-
You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:
- Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder
