When I updated Firefox on a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1" tablet, the websites I added to the Android Home Screen turn into Firefox icons.

I have bookmarks on my Device Home Screen (created by pressing and holding on the address bar and choosing the "Add to Home Screen" option). They are shown on the screen with either a default bookmark icon (orange box with a white star in the middle) or the website provided one and the name of the website under it. Once I run the update all of these icons change to the default Firefox icon (Firefox logo with "Firefox" written under it). If you click the changed icon it still brings you to the bookmarked webpage.

I started noticing this in at least Firefox 19.x and find that it continues to happen with every update. I haven't had any luck finding a solution or even another post about it.

I will try to reproduce this with one of our Galaxy Tabs and open a bug if I can. Thank you for the report.
