On the Check Your Plugins page, it has always stated some plugins are outdated when they are not. Why hasn't this been fixed?

Outdated Plugins Reported:

Adobe AcrobatAdobe PDF Plug-In For Firefox and Netscape 10.1.7

VLC Web PluginVLC media player Web Plugin 2.0.6

The actual plugins installed have the exact same version as it is telling me to update to!!! It has been doing this since last year. Figured others would have same problem and it would get fixed.

hello, the plugin-check page isn't foolproof or does a very sophisticated job at detecting each version. the problem for the adobe plugin is that the current 11-branch of the reader/plugin isn't made available to windows vista users by adobe anymore.
