Firefox for iOS jumps from version 40 to 96

Firefox for iOS jumps to version 96 with the January 11, 2022 release. Version 40 was previously released on December 7, 2021. This change is being made to align with the version numbers for Firefox for desktop, Firefox for Android, Firefox Focus for Android and Firefox Focus for iOS.

Consistent version numbers will make it simpler to ensure you’re using the latest version of Firefox across all devices. There will be no user impact or functionality updates related to this change.

New keyboard shortcuts added

Users with a keyboard connected to their iOS device can now use additional keyboard shortcuts for faster navigation through the browser.
