i even went to the COLLEGE library two hours ago, same thing. was unable to get on yahoo mail or ymail. sometimes, on rare occasion, it works. otherwise, cannot use ymail yahoo mail from Firefox or Aurora. MCC.edu is huge has 260 computers.

unable to use yahoo mail from their computers on Firefox. and as I said, per the yahoo site, Firefox is NOT, NOT a supported browser.

come on guys, fix this. get yahoo to make Firefox a supported browser. I uninstalled Chrome and Opera. and although on rare occasion Firefox does work on yahoo mail, usually it does not. and when it does, only and only in

BASIC html and even then, veryyyyyyyyyyyyyyy slow.

and they have brand new nice desktop computers at mcc.edu main campus. new

so don't try to tell me they don't know what to do to set up their software they employ full time 10 tech people plus part timers.

it is not mcc. edu and not yahoo. it is FIREFOX

i can't use newest version of yahoo mail and rarely can i use basic html, and that's from the colllege. from my Dell old laptop and the place i have with our wifi, it is rare.

today i spent 2 hours to send 3 emails. 2 hours to watch the swirling wheel.

don't make excuses, just make an agreement with yahoo so they will support Firefox browser

Your System Details list shows that you are using a Firefox 34 Aurora build. It is possible that Yahoo isn't supporting this alpha 2 build.

Does this also happen with the current release?

Note that Firefox 33 will be released next week.

cor-el. i realize, from all your helps, you are super wise/me not as much.

cor-el, like i mentioned- ignore my Dell. I spent hours today at the college, their public access NEW computers, NEW, have the latest best software and 10 full time software geniuses on campus full time.

Firefox, latest version- SAME SAME as I described. At one point I waited 40 minutes until for just 5 minutes Firefox managed to work on yahoo.

READ the yahoo mail site, it says NOW "Firefox is NOT a supported browswer". honest, not making this up.

If yahoo is not supporting Firefox (plain everyday ) Firefox browser at a public college library with 260 computers for students and for the public to use, then it is FIREFOX the issue. Further, since yahoo on their site, clearly states that Firefox is NOT a supported browser but yahoo mail lists those browsers they do support- that is not good.

Even basic html (now right now) in yahoo mail, barelyyyyyyyyyyy functions. And this morning at the MCC library. SAME thing, basic html barely works. Now to partly explain, the latest yahoo mail, has a ton of ads in stream motion and they suck up band width. But, those ads mostly do not exist, when you go with basic html email from yahoo and still, this morning, branddddddddddd new desktop HP and nice modern computers, kept up to date and maintained by college smart guys and gals, yahoo mail won't work with Firefox or barely works if use basic html.

Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. All these programs have free versions.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.

cor-el.

1. I do not have any power to do any of your above ideas on MCC college

computers, so no help on that.

2. I tried for a long while in the past couple of hours, and selected 2-3 of the

downloads to for free check for any issues my computer might have
(frankly it has none but I wanted to try your ideas)

3. The ones I picked ranged from saying a download time of 8 hours to

    4 days.

so I cancelled them. I turn off this computer after an hour or two max and until I am on again, which can be a day or two, it stays off. no way I can do an 8 hour or 4 day download. as I have said, the internet connection provided at the place I am at here in my area, is Hi speed they say, but in actuality, is very very slow.

so, I cannot do your free downloads on a college library computer. and I also can't on my 10 year old Dell laptop since the connection speed here at my place is so slow it wants 8 hours to 4 days for the download of your free programs and I don't leave the computer on beyond short periods of time
