google scholar is chosing a proxy library and I can't find and/or delete where is setting is kept in Firefox
I use Google Scholar. A proxy link was set up while i was enrolled in a University to link me through that University's library portal. I am no longer affiliated with this this institution. I have a Fellowship a a different University but Google Scholar points my searches to my former institution. Where is this instruction at access the library's portal stored in my browser and how may I delete it?

Are you starting at the main page? https://scholar.google.com/
Does that redirect to an address related to the University? If so, the information may be in either (1) your account, or (2) a cookie. It's not hard to clear your Google cookies:
While viewing a page on the site, try either:
- right-click (on Mac Ctrl+click) a blank area of the page and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
- (menu bar) Tools > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
- click the padlock or "i" icon in the address bar, then the ">" button, then More Information, and finally the "View Cookies" button
In the dialog that opens, the current site should be pre-filled in the search box at the top of the dialog so you can remove that site's cookies individually.
Then try reloading the main page again. Does it still redirect?
thank you for the reply. I appreciate the help, but clearing the cookies did not seem to change the issue. when I am searching with Google Scholar and choose a journal article it still goes the the University of Toronto portal home page :
https://login.library.utoronto.ca/cgi-bin/go_log.pl?url=http://muse.jhu.edu/article/46351/summary
In that case, it probably is saved in your Google account.
Did you check the settings page to see if it's stored there?

Maybe "Library Links" in the left column?
