I have followed each step in the migration of my data profile, but after pasting the Thunderbird folder in the Roaming folder, when I start TB, no mail msgs.

I had a hard drive failure and I have installed Windows 7 on a new drive and bit by bit I am repopulating the drive with programs. I am attempting (several times) to migrate my TB profile to the newly installed version of TB on the new drive. I am now very familiar with the location of the profile folder on the old and the new drives. I have followed the instructions on the support web page to the letter. I copied the TB folder from the Roaming folder on the old drive and pasted it into the TB folder in the Roaming folder on the new drive, C:\Users\David\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird, overwriting the existing folder, and when asked, overwriting specific files as part of the process.

When I start TB, I have no email msgs, folders, subfolders, etc. I only have the address book and its contents. No preferences, no email accounts, etc. Note. On the old drive, the profile folder location was C:\Users\David\Documents\TB Mail Profile. It worked fine for years.

There are two folders in the Profile folder- 3anp8o3i.default and q226441r.default Below are the contents of the profiles.ini file in >Roaming>Thunderbird.

[General] StartWithLastProfile=1

[Profile0] Name=default IsRelative=1 Path=Profiles/3anp8o3i.default

[Profile1] Name=TB Email IsRelative=0 Path=C:\Users\David\Documents\TB Mail Profile Default=1

Thanks in advance for reading this far. Please help.

In addition, I have tried changing the contents of the Profiles folder. I added the folder TB Mail Profile.default to the existing folders in the Profiles folder, I have deleted the other folders in the Profiles folder and then added the folder TB Mail Profile.default. Neither approached worked.
