Why do my saved emails keep disappearing from my folders
I've lost all my the emails that I saved in my folders. I'd like to be able to retain them and retrieve the old ones

Are these emails in folders on an IMAP account that is synchronized to a server or device where you have actually deleted them? That is the usual cause of emails just disappearing on Thunderbird these days. Deletions elsewhere are synchronized.
