lost emails from previous version of Thunderbird Mail
Windows 10 was just re-installed on my PC today and in their process Microsoft scrubbed my Thunderbird Email program out and took with it all my saved messages. Is there any way to migrate from your servers my previously saved emails to my re-installed new Thunder mail program. This is urgent as there are many important emails now lost. Thank-you.

Check with your email account provider to see if they have backups.
Windows OS should have created a 'windows.old' folder in C drive.
That 'windows.old' folder is auto deleted after 30 days, so you need to check it out. In that 'windows.old' folder - Look for: C: Users/Username/Appdata/Roaming/Thunderbird Copy the 'Thunderbird' folder to an external drive so it is saved as a backup.
If Thunderbird is running exit Thunderbird. On computer Access: C: Users/Username/Appdata/Roaming folder Delete the 'Thunderbird' folder which was created as new. Paste the copied 'Thunderbird' folder (from the 'windows.old' folder) into the 'Roaming' folder. Start Thunderbird. It will now start using the copied version.
If 'Thunderbird' has a problem connecting to server then access the 'Firewall' (which might be controlled by your Anti-Virus product) make sure the 'Thunderbird' program is an allowed program.
