With firefox, it appears to use alt+number to switch to that specific tab. how do i change this to ctrl+number?

You can't, that is how it works on Linux.

Unfortunately, I'm using alt as my Mod key, and I'm sure some Linux users too. I used to use ctrl + numbers for switching tabs. Is there any option in about:config to use ctrl instead?
