I am not seeing all my messages on Thunderbird. However I can see them on my android tablet and samsung phone They are not in spam or junk. Also I am getting todays emails followed by 2018 emails.

How have you set up the account in Thunderbird (POP, IMAP)? Do you keep all your mail in a big Inbox there?

Sounds like you've set up the account as POP, Inbox has grown too big, and that's now causing Thunderbird to (1) not properly show the folder contents and (2) have trouble downloading new mail because it encounters problems trying to update the mailbox file on disk…
