My main specs are: HD 5870 935/1250 Phenom 2 X4 965BE @3.8 GHz 4GB 1600MHz 8-8-8-24 DDR3 890GX Chipset mobo

I have had this issue BEFORE I even overclocked my system, and I have tried to set them to the default clocks, but still it's there. It doesn't happen in other browsers.

Basically, each time I start or stop a flash video in youtube for example, I will get weird screen tearing or weird artifacts for a split second on my screen.

I have the same problem, but it happens in IE8 as well. I actually just formatted and re-installed a few hours ago (XP Pro, everything updated) and the problem persists (it was there before as well, tho not the reason I reinstalled).

Ah, went away for me upon updating to the latest version of DirectX (before that, it went away if I disabled hardware acceleration for Flash, but with the latest version of DirectX installed I could keep it on).

I'm not sure if my problem was identical to OPs tho, as mine only flickered briefly at the very beginning then played fine. Nonetheless, maybe it will help someone.

Meh, feeling a bit silly at this tripple post but apparently I spoke too soon and the problem remains unless I tick off hardware acceleration in flash.

Hi again, yeah i have 2 displays and when i remove the second one i dont have the problem. My problem is also temporarily fixed with hardware acceleration being disabled.
