I am using windows xp professional and have firefox 3.6.8 i have very limited space on my partition the one with windows. I have my program files on another drive still only 20 mb left on my windows partition .. I'm downloading files using firefox but i get error as due to limited space the download does not get completed ... now i want firefox to use some other drive as a temp or cache folder ... how would i change its settings ... My windows temp folder is also on another drive rather then c drive .... I want to change the whole from

D:\Documents and Settings\Kashif\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\

to

C:\Documents and Settings\Kashif\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\

What you need to do is move your profile directory, which is a directory like xxxxxxxx.default under the directory you've posted.

See here for how to find your profile: https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Profiles#How_to_find_your_profile

Copy the profile folder to your desired destination.

Then, using the Profile Manager, point Firefox at the new profile. Instructions here: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Moving_your_profile_folder#Using_the_Profile_Manager_to_move_your_profile

Solution

go into

about:config

create new string - browser.cache.disk.parent_directory

and then enter your new cache location i.e. D:\CACHE
