need 2 to 3 tries to dowload firefox homepage

When I click on the firfox icon it takes about ten to fiteen seconds for a blank page to download.I have click off and try again,usualy 2 to 3 times before the homepage loads.

The default Firefox 4.0 homepage doesn't need to "download" - about:home is built into Firefox, it's not a "web page" as with previous versions.

Not what I asked. I asked why does it take 2to 3 tries for my home page to show with firefox ? I keep getting a blank page. Its instant with IE
