Why, when I upgrade from version 3.16 to version 4.0.1 that my firefox still looks and operates like version 3.16?
So I upgraded from firefox version 3.16 to version 4.0.1. When I downloaded and installed firefox 4.0.1 I launched it and when it popped open the interface looked exactly like version 3.16, the bookmarks (the bookmarks that are above the tabs) would not work, i.e. i clicked on them and they would'nt open, and when i opened options and clicked to display tab bar...there was no tab bar, but instead tab groups? My question is how do I get firefox 4.0.1 because it's obviously not upgrading for me? Also, when i tried restarting firefox with the ad ons disabled, it closed firefox and prompted me whether or not i wanted to open firefox in safe mode. When i opened in safe mode firefox 4.0.1 was there! Does my problem have anything to do with my ad ons or test pilot? Thanks in advance!

After opening Firefox just check the version detail. You can do this by taking help->About Mozilla Firefox.. If it is 3.6 our problem is that it was not updated properly. If it is 4.01 try updating it once again..
This is what my firefox (so called 4.0.1) looks like
That is also what my "about firefox" looks like
I wasn't able to tell what version I am running because the "about firefox" does not display a version number. Any other ideas as to why I cant upgrade to firefox 4.0.1? Thanks!
