If you look at other questions you'll see Firefox details are shown below the question. You are showing nothing.
We really need details of your operating system - Win, Mac or Linux.
To help you we need a much clearer picture of what is actually happening - can you get to any websites, do the sites look correct etc.
It is likely, too, that we'll need information on any extensions and plug-ins such as Flash. I'm afraid some of the following is elementary but we need to be sure where you are up to.
Let's start at Square 1. When you downloaded Firefox to your desktop did you click on the installer to actually install Firefox?
If you can open Firefox(double click on the desktop icon) to a home page of some sort, you should check your Firefox version by either Orange Firefox button( in top left hand corner)>Help>About Firefox or Menu Bar>Help>About Firefox.
If you can't open Firefox, try opening in Safe Mode and see if that works - Hold down Shift key as you double click on the Firefox desktop icon>ignore the check boxes and continue. If that works you possibly have a problem with one of your extensions. If you can get Firefox working at all you should try disabling your plug-ins such as Flash and any third party toolbars.
In due course you may need to work through this -

You should report back whenever you can go no further.

This will promote your question in the forum where it will come under notice again.
Can anyone else help? I'm sure I could solve the problem in two minutes sitting side-by-side at the computer but I really don't know what to say next.
