The main cause of not being able to connect to internet after a Firefox update has been due to software Firewall blocking the new firefox exe yet may stll b e allowing the older version.

Also on the Internet, typing in all CAPS is considered shouting ;)

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.

Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

ITS NOT THE FIRE WALL. IVE SHUT IT DOWN AND IT STILL DOES NOT WORK . THE WINDOW OPENS AND IT NEVER FINISHES LOADING , IF I CLICK ON THE ON ANY THING ON THE SCREEN THE (NOT RESPONDING ) COMES ON . TURNED THE FIREWALL OFF FOR WINDOWS 7. DELETED AVG IT CAUSED PROBLUMS WITH EMAILS SOEM TIME AGO. IT STILL DOES NOT WORK .

PS I TURNED THE WINDOWS FIRE WALL BACK ON

AND IT NEVER TOLD ME IT WAS BLOCKING ANY PROGRAM WHEN IT LOCKS UP WHICH IS WHAT IT S SET AT .

HAY COULD YOU REPLY IN CAPS ITS MUCH EASER TO READ IN CAPS .

THE ISSUE IS THAT FOXFIRE DOES NOT RESPOND AFTER IT OPENS. TRYIED THE SAFE MODE SAME RESULTS TRIED UNINSTALL AND RE INSTALL DOES NOT WORK. IT OPENS AND WHEN I CLICK ON ANY THING IT DOES NOTHING BUT: "(NOT RESPONDING)" APPEARS AFTER THE PROGRAM TITAL AT THE TOP OF THE SCREEN.

NONE OF YOU HAVE OFFERED ANY THING THAT MAKES ANY DIFFERANCE. I HAVE DELETED FOXFIRE RESTARTED RE INSTALLED AND RESTARTED MY COMPUTOR AND IT STILL DOES NOT WORK. THE FOXFIRE WINDO OPENS THE LITTLE GREEN SPPING THING SPINS AND WHEN I CLICK ANY THING ON THE SCREEN THE "(NOT RESPONDIONG)" COMES ON THE TOP OF THE SCREEN AFTER THE MOZELA FIXFIRE NAME . TRIED EVERY THING ANY OF YOU HAVE SEGESTED EVEN THE IDIOTIC IDEAS NO CHANGE.
