Firefox 20 will not allow me to change my homepage tired all the buttons editing about:config etc

Follow these steps: Hold down Shift Key; Double-click the Firefox shortcut; Check the box in 'Reset all Firefox user preferences to their defaults' Select 'Make changes and restart'.

THANKS!!! Tried that but no luck. I went and unistalled firefox delete all of the associated folders, files and reg entries. reinstalled and seems to be working so far
