Every 2 to three times i navigate a webpage my browser redirects me to either a page wanting me to update my flash player or to lycos. my flash player is fully up . i also have advertisements running on top of my browser while im on sites that dont ordinarily have advertisements at all

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window or otherwise make changes.
