Firefox homepage changed. Lost Icons for Gmail, YouTube, etc that use to appear on the home page. How do I get them to appear back on the Firefox homepage?
A week ago, my Firefox homepage changed and I've lost the ability to have Gmail, YouTube, etc appear at the left top of the homepage. I tried to reset by going to settings and set the default but still can not figure out how to get Gmail, YouTube, etc to appear on the homepage. Thank you, Julia

Just to update this again. I finally found what I had previously. It is the www.google.com/firefox homepage. Thanks all for the help but this has now been resolved.

Did you use a Google website (www.google.com) as the home page?
Is the home page still set to that same URL or did the URL of the home page got changed?
You can check the home page setting:
- Tools > Options > General > Startup: Home page
Firefox supports multiple home pages separated by '|' (pipe) symbols.
No, I had Firefox as the main page and then had direct links at the top of the homepage, left corner, to Gmail, YouTube, etc. I can change to Google as the homepage but what happened to the set-up I had? Thanks for helping. Julia
Are you talking about the new tab page (about:newtab) that shows nine (3x3) tiles with visited websites?
See this article about the New Tab page (about:newtab):
Is your home page now https://www.google.com/ ?
If you are missing the traditional "black bar" at the top of the page, that has been replaced with an application button on the right side that looks like a grid of small squares. Some creative developers have posted add-ons to restore the old bar. I haven't tried these myself:
- Proper Menubar
- +You Google Bar - reviews indicate some problems
Exactly what I had. I like having Firefox as the home page but wanted the google bar at the top for easy access to Gmail, YouTube, etc. Now I know I can add the bar back in. Hope they don't change it again.
Sorry I didn't get back on here sooner. Wireless trouble on my laptop and finally they figured out today what was wrong. Gotta love computers :-)

Google no longer maintains the www.google.com/firefox page, so best is to avoid using this page.
You can see this by the hard coded message that you use an outdated Firefox version.
