Does the new FireFox30 mean that I will no longer be able to see text clearly without my NoSquint PlugIn?
Dear FireFox, I have increasing sight problems and need to be able to set or at least increase the miniscule size of website fonts, however due to peoples' terrible formatting of their websites and use of frames I occasionally need to reduce the font size just to make a search box available (instance noted on ShareCG's website, among others). I have enough problems navigating websites without continually having to authorise a plug in for every single page I visit. Please, please tell me this isn't going to get worse for me due to your arbitrary decision (i.e. this is the first I've heard of it) to phase out the very plugin I need so much, as well as other helpful plugins.
PLEASE!!!!
I am using a PC with: Windows Version: MicroSoft Windows 7 Professional Edition (64 bit) Version 2009 Service Pack 1
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz RAM: 2.40GHz 8.00 GB of RAM
Graphics Card: (/Video Card.)NVIDIA Ge Force GT 8600 graphics card. Nvidia Driver Version No: 9.18.13.3788
Yours Fran Baker (Worried as all get out)

You should have an option for a plugin Always Activate
- Use NewButton -> Add-ons -> |Plugins| and select the relevant Plugin [Always Activate v]
- It is also possible to sets pecific sites as trusted and to always activate a plugin Why do I have to click to activate plugins?#w_how-to-always-activate-a-plugin-for-a-trusted-website
Which particular plugin are you having a problem with ?
NoSquint is not a "plugin", it is an extension. And extensions don't need to be "authorized" per website - they're either enabled or they're disabled.
I don't know what you have "heard" about NoSquint, but if you are referring to the lack of the toolbar at the bottom of the Firefox window, which NoSquint uses to display the current Zoom level; there is a solution in The Add-on Bar (Restored) extension. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/the-addon-bar/
As mentioned here - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/nosquint/ - at the bottom of About this Add-on.
John99, Okay I admit to being confused between what's a plugin and what's an extension (unless I'm looking at the extensions tab or the plugins tab) and I panicked.
Sorry. But thank you very much for clarifying the matter about activating for specific sites and always activating a plugin - that helps a lot.
the-edmeister, No I hadn't heard anything in particular it was just the info on the Mozilla site about partial activation of plugins and the default being Disabled with FireFox 30 that scared me. I had missed that bar at the bottom showing the NoSquint settings, but thought it was lost forever, so thanks for showing me how to get that back. Nice!
