It is possible that the code on the web page has changed and that there is an autocomplete=off attribute present. If autocomplete=off is present then Firefox won't auto-fill the input form and you need to start typing to make a drop down list appear. Another possibility is that you have multiple names saved.

You can check the code in the Inspector via Inspect Element in the right-click context menu.
