Why do some emails I get don't wrap within the window?

I receive an email from a particular sender using an iPhone, that shows each paragraph as one extremely long line and refuses to wrap in my Thunderbird view window. I open the same email in other clients, including my mobiles, and it wraps nicely. As I don't have this problem with other emails, is there anything I need to tell the sender?

Could I ask someone with an iPhone to send an email message to me to see if I can replicate this effect?
