Thunderbird has crashed! I downloaded Windows 10 last week and have had no problems till today...

I successfully download Windows 10 recently and everything worked fine including today until this afternoon I got a Thunderbird has crashed message and can no longer receive or send emails! What's happened and what do I do to recover service?
