Can any one tell me the difference between between the English (US) & English (British) Firefox? The most obvious one is the default time and currency etc, but apart from that, are there any other differences?

You're welcome.

I think that in a lot of cases users in Australia install the en-GB version if they do not need the en-US dictionary.

The en-US Firefox version comes with a built-in en-US dictionary. For the en-GB version the en-GB dictionary isn't included for licensing reasons and you need to install the dictionary yourself.

You can look here for dictionaries:

Otherwise there are only some spelling differences like colour versus color.

many thanks... As I live in Aus. I always install the Aus dictionary, so I guess its doesn't matter which version I use.

A modest, albeit humorous, reply:

George Bernard Shaw said: "England and America are two countries separated by a common language."

In The Canterville Ghost (1887), Oscar Wilde wrote: "We have really everything in common with America nowadays except, of course, language."

I wonder what Oscar would have said if he were around today hahaha... :)
