https://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais/home/centerx:-63.1/centery:18.0/zoom:12, Secure connetion failed .. can ot figure out why
after years of being able to upload images to the marine Traffic website I suddenly can not.. Now I get the secure connection failed error message whenever I try to upload images. I've been in contact with the people at Marine Traffic and they can't figure it out and are not seeing the problem with other users.

I'm looking at that page. Where is the function to upload images -- could you describe the steps you take up to the point that it fails?
Also, does that error show up "full tab" with any additional information? For example, if you see an "Advanced" button, could you click that and copy/paste any technical explanation or code that you find there?
What URL is used to upload the images?
If you can't inspect the certificate via Advanced (I Understand the Risks) then try this:
Open the "Add Security Exception" window by pasting this chrome URL in the Firefox location/address bar and check the certificate:
- chrome://pippki/content/exceptionDialog.xul
In the location field of this window type or paste the URL of the website with the https:// protocol prefix (https://xxx.xxx).
- retrieve the certificate via the "Get certificate" button
- click the "View..." button to inspect the certificate in the Certificate Viewer
You can inspect details like the issuer and the certificate chain in the Details tab of the Certificate Viewer. Check who is the issuer of the certificate. If necessary then please attach a screenshot that shows the Certificate Viewer with the issuer.
after clicking on a ship a picture of it shows up with a small camera icon to the lower left .. clicking the icon take you to a page ton upload images. There is no "advanced" option on the error message.
The certificaTE IS VALID
Oops, I need to sign in for that. (I don't have an account.)
Does that button take you to a different page which has the error? If so, what is the address of that page in the address bar? Presumably it's on a different server.
Note: If the error appears in a region of the page, it may be framed. Try right-clicking the error page, choose This Frame, then View Frame Info and you should be able to find the address of the framed page there.
