I keep deleting the option in the home page url. But after I load Firefox a few times, a tab appears next to the home page url, about setting the home page. I've used the about:config and located the startup.browser. I delete the added code -- but it returns after loading Firefox.

Thanks. It was Advance Care which protects against outside changes to the home page. I deleted all the code after the url of my home page in Advance Care.

Could you check for a "user.js" file in your currently active Firefox profile (settings) folder? Firefox uses that file at startup to update/override your previously saved preferences.

The following article has a specific section on that:

How to fix preferences that won't save

It also discusses some other possible reasons that settings might be lost between Firefox sessions.

Advanced SystemCare has a place to edit its settings? That's great to know for future reference.

Yes under the tab PROTECT. Under Home Page Protection, I deleted all code after the home url. This applies to Advance Care Pro.
