computer crashed, new one, keeps asking to reset password then won't take it.

I had an account, the computer crashed. Tried to set a new acct. and it said I had an account to login. Logged in and it said wrong password. Sent me a link for new password. Then it said it worked fine. Logged in again and it says the password Is wrong. I JUST RESET IT???? I can't go back to the old computer, it is dead. Someone please tell me how to turn this finger bar off. I have a mouse.
