Why cant I set New tabs to simply start with my Home Page?

I want new tabs to simply start with my home page.. Only choice is the default suggested sites or a blank page.. You can set IE to start new tabs with your home page, why can't Firefox do this simple thing???

Firefox did have that option (which was hidden in about:config), but it was being exploited by Malware so it was removed. Still possible to change with an extension.
