Please create this feature where you can highlight & delete multiple folders/sub folders in one swoop. I now have to delete TONS of folders one at a time.  : (

If you are talking about an imap mail account, have you tried unsubscribing to see the folders?

Wow, I couldn't even get to the thread from the e-mail that goes out. There was no link, only a button if I wanted to state that this problem was resolved when it's NOT.

Not good :(

No this wasn't IMAP, it was POP & I'm talking about within the software itself, not online or anything.

I'm having trouble imagining a situation where I'd suddenly decide to delete a lot of nested folders and their messages. Is this a common occurrence? Are you going to want to do it often and regularly? In other words, would it be sufficiently useful to justify the coding effort and its inclusion in the menu structure? I can't remember when I last found that the existing tools weren't adequate. I actually use addons that make it hard to accidentally move or erase folders.

Why not archive the unwanted messages? Is disk space at a premium?

For a one-off, I'd make note of the names of the offending folders, close Thunderbird and then remove the matching files from the profile in my file manager.
