One of my accounts has stopped working. Its not accepting password and so I cannot reset as I cannot sgn into it to get the link. Why?
I have 2 email addresses on THunderbird. One account works the other does not. They are both work related. THe no n working account does not let me sign in. I therefore cannot reset the password as I cannot access any links. I deleted the account and went to set it up again but to no avail.
It stopped all of a sudden, asking for a password. But didn;t like it. I am therefore missing out on work related information.
The help pages are pointless isn this case as I said earlier - I cannot sign in to the concerned account so cannot see what has been decided. There is not general help or contact details. I even pasted on Twitter and Facebook bt received no reply.

What does this mean?
Who's your email provider?
What's the account type - POP or IMAP?
The non working account does noyt accept my password
1and1.com - web host and email Imap. The account SMTP is not obvious either
Is there any error message?
You can verify your password using webmail. Does that work?
Please post your Troubleshooting Information. At the top right of the Thunderbird window, click the menu button , then select Help > Troubleshooting Information. Press the "Copy text to clipboard button" and paste the information into your reply.

I had set it up the same as the other account. Only difference is the address - obviously

Because the accounts don't have the same messages? In any case, you'll need to ask McAfee why this problem occurs in the first place.

Macafee have removed the Softwarre but it has not helped my issue with the mail account not working. It does not even allow me to set up again

Simply read the article and follow the instructions. If in doubt, ask McAfee.
I have asked Macafee. I sent them the tile and there is now nothing they can do. Nothing worked. Uninstalled Macafee and reinstalled it. Why would it affect one account and not the other? Why can I nt recreate the other account? When it askes for password it doesn't accept anything.

'Disable/delete McAfee Anti-Spam Thunderbird Extension in Thunderbird' is only the first suggestion in the article among others on how to address the problem. You can read them in the article yourself, I don't think I have to spell them out again here.
The extension appears to be disabled already as per your information above. However, none of your previous replies indicate any attempt to follow the other suggestions in the article.
Having said that, this is the Thunderbird support forum. If you're having difficulties implementing the suggested changes concerning McAfee anti-virus software, please ask in a McAfee forum.
The article also suggests what to do in case you have implemented all the suggested changes, but the problem still persists.

I'm not sure why you tried that, as this is nowhere suggested in the article.
I did it as that is what Macafee suggested. They are waiting on news back to see what happened when I contacted them.
The artice about Macafee does not work anyway as there are no Extensions dealing with Macafee. The only extension is teh Moozilla Calandar.
I just wish to know whay my account has topped working. It was set up the same way as the one that does work
