Open the Bookmarks Manager; Press the Alt or F10 key to bring up the toolbar, and select Bookmarks. Hot key is <Control> (Mac=<Command>) <Shift> B.

Once the window is open, at the top of the page, press the button labeled Import and Backup. Select Export Bookmarks To HTML, and follow the prompts and save it to a HTML file. Copy the file to another computer/profile. Repeat the instructions above, BUT select Import Bookmarks From HTML.

If you looked at the above URL it shows how to do that for Opera also at page bottom. This URL was turned up by a simple google search.

For Safari there are various ways to do so for different OS's versions and if on the iphone/Icloud : https://www.google.com/search?q=backup+safari+bookmarks&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-b

I have a windows 7 PC. Whenever I use my USB hard drive, it automatically backs up my IE bookmarks. But since I have started using Firefox, my USB hard drive is not backing up the Firefox bookmarks. Does anyone know how I can get my Firefox bookmarks backed up automatically on my USB hard drive? I don't know if it matters, but currently, IE11 is my default browser.

Hi peneustein, FredMcD's post was marked as the solution by the person who asked the original question (monicaregister). Your issue may have similar symptoms, but it is likely a different cause/solution. You should use https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/new where volunteers can get more details about your setup.

Because this thread is solved and more people might start using it for their own questions, I'm going to lock it.
