I just updated my mac to 10.13 but firefox says it can't download because I don't have a version 10.9 or higher even though I do

The user agent your browser has says Mac 10.8. I'm not sure why that is, you did install the update, correct?

I'd suggest Making sure the update was fully installed, and then going to https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ to download and install the correct version of Firefox
