prevent Firefox from closing?

OK, it's one thing to have protected tabs on Firefox. It's another thing to protect the whole program. When I'm at a site, and I DO NOT WANT to accidentally exit, it's just too easy on a Mac to hit that little red dot at upper left, and BOOM, you're gone. Same with that little "x" in a red box at upper right in Windows.

On Chrome, there is a slick routine -- https://www.maki-chan.de/preventclose.htm. When you open a tab at that website, and click somewhere on the website, it prevents Chrome from closing. If you try to kill the program, it'll pop up an "are you sure?" message.

Wish there was something like this for Firefox that prevents accidental closure. Is there?

OK, I think the trick is to have enabled the warning on closing multiple tabs, which is the default. Then just have two or more tabs. If you try to kill the program then, it will warn you.

BUT, if you just have one tab, it will NOT warn you when you try to kill the program. That's a bit daffy. Two or more tabs are important. One tab is not.

Never heard of that option. Where do I find it?
